On April 18, the Asian methanol markets were mixed as the CFR China market rose due to a trade which concluded at a higher level of strength and volume in the Chinese domestic methanol market. A trade at $307/mt for delivery in mid-May was reported. Other participants' tradable indicators ranged from $295/mt to $310/mt. Demand from end-users was low. Sources said that the increase in price was due to the uncertainty surrounding the Iranian methanol operations, despite them having resumed. They also cited supply concerns. Sources said that the sentiment in India's domestic market weakened on April 18, due to a softer demand, and a weaker crude oil. India domestic Kandla Ex-tank Offers dropped to Rupees 27,50-27.75/kg while Mumbai Ex-tank Offers were Rupees 27,27.25/kg. Both prices are down Rupees 0.25-0.40/kg...
