On April 22, the FOB China MTBE Market saw no bids or sales, with crude oil prices fluctuating but heading south. Brent crude futures for June closed at $86.10/b, down $1.22/b. 22. However, during trading in Asia crude prices fell even further in the afternoon before rising towards the Singapore Market on Close Assessment process. Asian sources stated that the oil market was choppy due to the geopolitical instability and traders preferred to remain on the sidelines. For FOB China, there were no bids or offers heard. Gunvor Singapore bid $971/mt for cargo loading between May 25-29, FOB Singapore. However, despite this bid, Gunvor Singapore did not sell any cargo. One source in China said he was interested in MTBE deliveries for H1 June, but that there might be limited...
