markets June 22 amid public holidays in China and Unv1. The market remained
bearish with several participants citing ample supply and weak margins. In plant news, South Korea's YNCC shut its No. 3 steam cracker June 22 due to some minor issues. The No. 3 unit is able
to produce 500,000 mt/year of ethylene and 240,000 mt/year of propylene. It was unclear when it would be restarted. The company's No. 1
steam cracker was shut due June 21 to a compressor trip and restarted June 22. In upstream markets, the benchmark C+F  Japan naphtha marker down $2/mt at $529.375/mt
at the June 22 Asian close. The
ethylene-naphtha spread was calculated at $185.625/mt, below the typical spread
of $250/mt...
