South Asia raffia-grade polypropylene remained unchanged at $979/mt, CFR South Asia on Sept. 11 as buyers were non-committal about new downstream demand in a market that was subdued. The Indian PP source stated that the overall market was slow because of the drop in crude oil prices. He said the outlook is uncertain at this time. They expect local producers will offer more aggressively. A producer of Indian PP said that buyers have been waiting to see how low the prices would go before buying. The festival season, which usually kicks off by this time, has also lagged expectations.
