South Asian Polypropylene Prices Fall amid Weak Demand / Sellers maintain their offer levels / Demand is still subdued - Oct 07, 2024

On Oct. 1, the demand for South Asian polypropylene raffia grade was down $5/mt from last week to $964/mt CFR South Asia. The market participants were divided on the possibility of a rise in demand. A Middle East-based seller stated that "we have kept our prices unchanged" and added that, although the demand was still weak, there had been no significant change on the market in comparison to last week. Material costs also pushed producers to keep these levels. In October, we expect a weak demand from India due to the numerous festivals that will keep many participants away.
