The Asian polypropylene market was stable or higher on June 12 due to rising freight costs and limited offers. Market sources said that rising freight rates and other logistical issues were making Chinese cargo less competitive on a CFR-basis in other markets. The export window for China remains closed, with the exception of some markets, due to high freight rates and the difficulty in getting returns fromexports. In Southeast Asia, CFR Southeast Asia homopolymer raffia/injection price up $15/mt over the week to $990/mt, on increasing freight and a few competitive offers.
