Prices of Turkish polypropylene rise due to higher container shipping costs / PP fiber prices rise $10/mt in a week / Economic conditions remain difficult

The Turkish polypropylene industry was optimistic in the week ending June 12th, despite macroeconomic challenges. Rising logistics costs pushed prices higher. CFR Turkey PP Copolymer Spot Prices are up $30/mt from the previous week to $1,220/mt. PP fiber prices and raffia costs also increased during the week. The alternative route cuts lead times down from three months to just three weeks, but costs increase by $40 to $60 per mt.
