North African polypropylene was stable during the week ending August 28. There were steady levels of demand and adequate supply. CFR North Africa PP raffia's spot price remained unchanged at $1,140/mt for the past week. The week saw a slowdown in buying activity on the Egyptian market, as end-users continued to have a mild demand. However, there was plenty of availability among Middle Eastern suppliers. A converter stated that "Demand is weak in Egypt, and there is no demand for any price increase." In August, sellers to North Africa were able to obtain higher prices than Egypt for their products sold into Morocco and Algeria.
