Asian polypropylene: Generally stable on the current discussions / Indonesian demand is weak before Ramadan / Hyosung Vietnam to restart PP Units in Early March

In Asia, the polypropylene market was stable during the week ending February 26, reflecting the prevailing sentiment. Hyosung Vina Chemicals in Vietnam, a subsidiary of Hyosung Chemicals in South Korea, will shut down its polypropylene units and propane dehydrogenation unit at Vung Tau starting February 15, according to a company spokesperson. Source: The PP unit with two 300,000 mt/year lines will restart operations on 5 March, while the PDH unit with 600,000 mt/year will resume on 25 March.
