polypropylene prices fall as worries about global financial stability affected
trading sentiment. Prices
for PP Raffia Grade CFR China dropped $20/ mt over the week to $920/mt. Sources said that China saw little improvement in its
purchasing volume from one week ago, despite the weakness of the futures
market. Some buying was fueled by a drop
in local prices around Yuan 7,550/mt towards the end last week. This eventually
led to spot prices being parity with futures values. A source said that although prices have bottomed out,
