Asia Polyols and Isocyanates Prices Fall as Demand Remains Subdued / Domestic prices remain rangebound / India polymeric MDI Inflows Down 8% in July

Prices of polymeric diisocyanate methylene and slabstock polyol in Asia fell during the week ending September 27, mainly due to continued low demand from India. PMDI was $2,095/mt, CFR India. This is down $50/mt from the previous weeks. India's economy is in a slump, so producers are limiting their production because they can get better prices on alternative markets. She added that container freight rates were back at normal levels, and she expected an increase in MDI demand before the holiday season, even though it was already delayed.
