Asia Polyols and Isocyanates Prices Stable on Thin Trade Discussions / Local slabstock polyol price improves on a week / Healthy port stocks cap PMDI price gains

Prices of polymeric diphenyl methylene diisocyanate in India were stable during the week ending Oct. 4 due to a mix of demand factors and healthy inventories. India's domestic ex-tank price was heard hovering between Rupees 190 and 195/kg. This is almost stable for the week. According to market sources, PMDI inventories were healthy at the ports and demand was mostly low. A trader stated that "lots of shipments were coming, and there was a slow festive in India." A seller, however, said that Indian demand has improved since the beginning of October. A market source reported that an international producer raised their offer to $2,300/mt from $2,150/mt in the previous weeks, due to limited supply and improved netbacks on the European market.
