The prices of slabstock polyols and polymeric diphenyl diisocyanate in Asia remained unchanged for the week ending Dec. 6 despite no significant changes to the fundamentals of the market. The price of slabstock polyol was $1,190/mt and PMDI $2,240/mt in the week ending Dec. 6, both unchanged. The CFR India selling indicators for PMDI were unchanged this week. They ranged between $2,250 and $2,300/mt CFR India. A market source said that they expect prices to drop slightly as container freight is starting to ease. He added that the freight from Korea to India has dropped to $1700/TEU, down from $2000/TEU in mid-November.
