Prices of slabstock polyols and polymeric diphenyl diisocyanate in Asia were mixed during the week ending February 14. The price of PMDI was $2,375/mt, up $35/mt from the previous week due to thin material availability. Slabstock polyol, at $1,245/mt, was unchanged. CFR India offers/selling indicators for PMDI ranged between $2,381 and $2,408/mt CFR India on February 14. According to sources, the major South Korean PMDI manufacturer BASF is not offering any material because of a scheduled plant turnaround. An Indian trader said that PMDI domestic supply is largely stable and ex-tank pricing has been range-bound. However, the market expects domestic prices to rise in the near term, given the recent rise in import prices. Prices for ex-tank PMDI remained rangebound on February 14.
