Prices of Asian polycarbonate CFR China fell in the week ending September 25 due to a softening demand. Negotiations for October cargoes also began during this week. General purpose PC prices were down $20/mt per day and $50/mt per week to $1760/mt in CFR China. A Chinese producer stated, "I cannot move the goods...demand is not good and there is too much PC production capacity." A second source on the market echoed a similar view about the weak demand situation. The bids were lower than what we had offered.
