Prices for polybutylene Terephthalate FOB China remained unchanged at $1.040/mt during the week ending February 12, lower than offers of $1.070-$1,260/mt. Market sources report that trading activity on the domestic market is still subdued after the Spring Festival. Downstream factories are only now beginning to return to normal operations. Export offers were stable to firm despite sellers noting that the demand was weak. One trader said that the container freight rates for China are lower than they were in January. India's buying interest was reported to be weak. An Indian buyer stated that there was a lull of sentiment due to the Rupee's significant depreciation, between 2% and 3% in the past couple of months.
