Asian butadiene prices were stable on June
19, compared to June 16. CFR
China butadiene was stable at $650-670/mt in the same time period. Last time the price was lower was in January 2022. According to market sources, the Asia butadiene markets will
likely continue to be bearish due heavy supply. Trading sources reported that the latest sale tender by
Thailand's PTT, for late-July loadout, had not been awarded. Sources on the market were also looking at possible deep sea
shipments, especially from Europe, because arbitrage opportunities from the US
are dwindling. The CIF USG price of
butadiene was stable from week to week, at 29 cents/lb or $639.16/mt on June
