Platts Asian PP: Prices remain stable despite muted discussion / Major NE Asian markets closed on extended holidays / China PS and EPS operating rate mixed in the week

GPPS CFR China was stable at $1.190/mt, compared to the previous assessment on January 22. The CFR China/CFR SEA differential was stable at minus 10/mt. China is closed from Jan. 28 to Feb. 4, but operated Jan. 26 as per the government's schedule. South Korea will be closed from Jan. 27-Jan. 30, while Taiwan will be closed Jan. 27-Feb. 2, for the Seollal holiday. Vietnam will close Jan. 27 until Jan. 31 for TET, while Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia will also be closed on Jan. 28-29. HIPS CFR China remained stable at $1 295/mt on Jan. 28, compared to the previous assessment of Jan. 22. The CFR China-to-CFR SEA spread remained stable at minus 10/mt.
