week ended April 19, as downstream demands remained weak. Last week, offers were
higher as PX and PTA upstream were strong. However, exports of bottle grade PET
chip have been slow lately, and several cargoes are available for loading in
June. The traders reported that the deals
on the Chinese domestic markets decreased week-on-week as domestic consumption
declined amid a bearish outlook for near term. According to sources on the market, China's PET bottle
production rates remain unchanged at 90%, despite a weakening of textile
demand. The prices of several polyester
yarn and fiber grades dropped in the past week as textile demand remained...
