Asia HDPE Prices Drop on Low Demand- Southeast Asia's thinnest discussions due to Ramadan- Ethane will replace naphtha in the primary feedstockPrices for Asian high density polyethylene
were mixed in the week up to March 22. China prices held steady on few
discussions, while Southeast Asia prices fell as the pace of Ramadan's
manufacturing slowdown caused by weaker demand. Traders said that
discussions were limited in India because of the close of the financial year. Due to low domestic and regional purchasing, a supply glut
and rising global interest rates, producers have not been able pass on the
rising costs in upstream. This has resulted in a shortage of goods and a
