South Asian polyethylene was stable during the week ending Oct. 1, with unchanged fundamentals, and fewer bids. Participants on the market said that trade discussions were light and fundamentals of demand-supply did not change from last week. A trader stated that there is no clear direction on the market, and all price discussions are stable for all PE grades. According to a major producer, the supply of most PE grades is stable, except for LLDPE. This grade has a gradually tightening availability. A trader stated that the domestic PE market may be tightening as some producers have stopped offering discounts. Most LDPE Film price indications remained at $1,130/mt for the week.
