Limited scope for arbitrage/ Spot prices track South Asia stability

The European acrylonitrile market spot price remained unchanged for the second consecutive week on the 28th of May, as fundamentals such as supply and demand continued to be in conflict. The tightness in the downstream value chain supported spot prices, while reduced run rates and a lack of imports increased competition across the continent. This dynamic was a counter to the generally limited appetite for spot materials in Northwest Europe. The underlying weakness of demand fundamentals on the Continent ensured that contractual commitments were sufficient in covering volume.
