South Asia PE prices fall as demand does not rebound after Diwali / Weakness of HDPE grades / Sources : LLDPE demand is rising

South Asian polyethylene prices fell in the week ending Nov. 6, amid stable supplies and a lukewarm market. The domestic market is softening, which has prompted buyers to resist higher import talks. According to sources, HDPE is readily available on the local market. However, its demand has remained weak since Diwali. We are experiencing a decline in demand for HDPE and a surplus of the material. A producer stated that it will be hard for international suppliers in this market to sell at higher prices. As discussion levels dropped, prices of HDPE films, HDPE blowmolding and HDPE injections registered a slight drop.
