Sources said that the Asian benzene markets
were lagging on June 12. The weaker demand was not enough to sustain prices. Sources said that although there were some bids
for H2 July and August loadings, the market was not very active on June 12. On June 12,
the FOB Korea benzene price fell by $37.33/mt from day to day, to $754.67/mt.
This was the fourth daily decline. CFR China basis cargoes did not hear
any floating offers or bids. However, FOB Korea basis freights were heard to be
bid at minus 2/mt. This was the lowest price of the day compared to the weekly
