Asian HDPE prices stable amid Rangebound Offers / Restocking activities in China are on the rise / Demand in SE Asia remains low

Markets in Southeast Asia for high density polyethylene were stable during the week ending September 25. Prices were largely unchanged. HDPE film CFR Fareast Asia increased $10/mt to $910/mt, while CFR Southeast Asia remained unchanged at $950/mt on September 25. Demand for HD film in Southeast Asia remained weak and there were few deals. In the past week, HD film bids and buying indications were around $900-$920/mt while offers ranged between $960-$980/mt. One trader said that bids were too low for suppliers to be interested. Restocking activities in China increased ahead of the Golden Week holiday, which took place from Oct. 1-7.
