The prices of CFR China polystyrene for general purpose and high impact polystyrene remained stable at $1,240/mt and 1,260/mt respectively on Oct. 9 amid persistently weak demand following China's return from Golden Week holidays. The spread between CFR Southeast Asia & CFR China was stable at $20/mt in line with the market indications between $10-$20/mt. The market participants raised their offer levels slightly from the previous weeks, but were sceptical that any deals would be made as the demand in Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia remains weak.
