Prices for CFR China polystyrene general purpose and high impact polystyrene were $1,240/mt & $1,330/mt CFR China respectively on September 11, both $10/mt lower than the previous week. According to market indicators, the spread between CFR SEA polystyrene and CFR China Polystyrene remained at $20/mt. The week saw offers that were either stable or lower. Some market participants attributed the lower offers to persistently low demand and lower upstream prices for styrene. We haven't finished discussing the offer levels for this week but we expect a drop. A market source stated that raw material prices had fallen too much in the past week.
