Asian LDPE prices fall on high offer Resistance /SEA Prices Drop $25/mt To $1,160/mt / China CFR prices are stable

The market for low density polyethylene in Southeast Asia continues to be pressured downward by a lack of demand and high offers. LDPE Film down $25/mt from the previous week to $1,160/mt CFR Southeast Asia. Bids and offers for September cargoes ranged from $1,180 to $1,200/mt. Trading remains low, according to sources. Buyers are taking a wait-and-see attitude and expect prices to continue to fall. In China, domestic LDPE films prices increased Yuan 175/mt in a week, to Yuan 10,375/mt, ex-works East China. Meanwhile, LDPE films remained unchanged for the week, at $1,100/mt, CFR Far East Asia, on August 28.
