CFR China prices for general-purpose polystyrene (GPPS) and high impact polystyrene (1,345/mt CFR China, respectively), were unchanged from the previous week on July 31. According to market indicators, the spread between CFR Southeast Asia polystyrene and CFR China polystyrene has remained at $20/mt. Market participants reported that offers remained rangebound during the week. Some even reduced offer levels because of the low demand despite an increase in styrene prices upstream. Prices were reported to have increased in the upstream. CFR China's upstream styrene Monomer Marker was $1,145.50/mt at the end of July. This is up $30/mt from the previous week.
