Asian PS prices fall due to lower downstream prices / Demand Heard to Improve / China PS operating rates rise, but EPS falls on week

The prices of CFR China's general-purpose polystyrene (also known as polystyrene) and high-impact Polystyrene ($1,210/mt vs. $1,300/mt), were $5/mt less than the previous week, on Nov. 13. CFR Southeast Asia's general-purpose polystyrene (mt) and high-impact polystyrene (mt) markers were also $5/mt less than the CFR China markers, at $1,225/mt and $1315/mt respectively. This was in line with the CFR China markers. The producers kept their offer levels at the same level or lower throughout the week due to the decline in upstream benzene prices and styrene Monomer prices. The upstream CFR China marker for styrene was $1,026/mt. This is down $9/mt from the previous week and $19/mt the week before.
