Asian LLDPE prices rangebound as Chinese domestic demand increases / China Futures Up / Orders for agricultural films fall on year - Sep 27, 2024

The linear low density polyethylene market prices remained stable in the week ending September 25, with only minor price changes. LLDPE film CFR Fareast Asia was up $10/mt to $935/mt, while CFR Southeast Asia remained unchanged at $970/mt. The most actively traded January 2020 futures at the Dalian Commodity Exchange in China rose Yuan 57/mt per day to Yuan 7,954/mt. This was after the Chinese government announced new stimulus measures to help boost the economy on September 24. Sources say that despite the slight increase in domestic demand due to futures prices and the start of the peak season, the demand for cargoes denominated in dollars remains stable.
