The US methanol market price fell by 2
cents the day of June 27, due to weak demand. The market is
well-supplied, according to sources. There are no signs of an increase in
activity for the near future. The Chinese
methanol spot price was $10-15/mt more on the day than the previous day. This
is the biggest daily increase in the Chinese methanol markets since September
2022. However, sources cautioned against describing the Chinese methanol as
bullish. Sources said that in Indonesia
and Malaysia the market was quiet as consumers prepared for Hari Raya Hajj long
weekend. Middle East sources also
