In the week ending November 22, the Chinese glycols market trended up, driven by gains on the upstream oil markets. The prices fluctuated throughout the week in line with crude oil upstream movements. MEG Domestic China Marker up Yuan 55/mt week on week to Yuan 4,655/mt Ex-tank, Nov 22. On the crude oil market, January ICE Brent Futures increased $3.25/b from week to week to $74.780 on November 22. Sources said that trading on CFR traded markets was light, with very few transactions heard. A broker reported that operating rates for polyester plants were stable at 92% from the previous weeks.
