Spot
activity in the Asian naphtha market increased by March 7, with two sell
tenders being issued. The India's IOC has issued a sell tender to purchase
90,000 mt naphtha for April 3 - 5 loadings from Chennai,
FOB. According to tender documents, the tender will close on March
10. Tender documents show that the tender will close March
8. According to a China-based trader, the country expects to grow at a
rate of 5%. This is lower than the 5.5% expectation. The last time that
the front-month East-West spread was positive was February 9, at
$3.25/mt. After the previous month, exports to China, Asia’s largest
consumer petrochemicals products, were reported as 9,844 b/d.
