European Polycarbonate Import Volumes Remain Limited Despite Recent Higher Freight Costs / Prices are slightly higher due to lack of imports / Demand slows down amid seasonal slump

In the European polycarbonate industry, prices were slightly higher in the week ending July 31 amid reports of lower import volumes and increased freight costs. DDP NWE extrusion grade was Eur2,265/mt at the end of July, stable for the day but up Eur25/mt. This is based on a buyer's indication that prices were stable and a trader indicating that the price would be Eur2,340/mt. DDP NWE polycarbonate GP mold grade at Eur2,365/mt. Stable on the day, and up Eur25/mt for the week. This is in line with the rise of extrusion-grade polycarbonate, and pending confirmation of a trader’s indication of Eur2,440/mt.
