During the week ending June 14, spot prices
on the European market for linear low density polyethylene fell due to
continued weakness in fundamentals. The European
Metallocene Spot Market remained under stress due to an oversupply this week,
mainly because of imports from South Korea. Sources on
the market described the pricing of the metallocene spot market as highly
distorted. This is mainly due to the availability of competitive imports. The European
LLDPE Metallocene Grade Spot Price at Eur1,130/mt, FD Northwest Europe on June
14, was down Eur60/mt since May. The European LLDPE spot market was
characterized by limited activity during the week of June 14. There was limited
