Blendstocks are not performing well due to a lack of demand / China buyers looking to buy CFR China at floating prices

On June 6, Asian isomer MX was up $1/mt on the day to $924/mt at FOB Korea. It was $938/mt at CFR Unv1 but remained unchanged at $944/mt at CFR China. Brent crude futures for August were up $1.24/b to $78.92/b and C&F Japan Naphtha was up 25c/mt to $648/mt on June 6. A Singaporean source reported that gasoline blending was not going well and blendstocks like MTBE and isomer MX were largely dead. Another source stated that weak gasoline in China was impacting the isomer MX market. He added that he would buy isomer MX only if the PX/MX spread increased.
