Barge prices rise above trucks on firm PET demand / Distribution demand remains soft

European MEG trucks were seen priced below barges on firmer PET demand in the week to April 19. Sources pointed to healthy trade in the bulk market, and with antifreeze interest diminishing, the wider PET segment was showing little interest in the smaller parcels, given the more disadvantaged freight economics. barge prices at Eur590/mt CIF Antwerp, while truck parcels were assessed at Eur580/mt FCA Antwerp April 19.
