Asia PE : Southeast Asian prices rise amid tight supply, China stable / Thin Trading in China / Middle East Supply Tightened

The price of polyethylene in Southeast Asia rose during the week ending March 5. This was due to a tighter Middle East supply as a result of several maintenance and shutdowns at plants. HDPE film CFR Southeast Asia increased $10/mt from week to week, reaching $950/mt. LLDPE CFR Southeast Asia rose $20/mt over the same period of time at $1010/mt. LDPE CFR Southeast Asia increased by $10/mt over the previous week to $1,160/mt. Prices on the Vietnam market were also rising during this time. HDPE film increased $10/mt from last week to $950/mt CFR. Vietnam on March 5. LLDPE also rose $10/mt, while LDPE grew $15/mt.
