Asian benzene rose $22.17/mt to $986/mt FOB
Korea on April 3, as a result of upstream oil prices following supply cuts by
key OPEC+ partners. The market opened the day stronger. A trade was
made for a May laycan FOB Korean parcel at $989/mt. FOB Korea
benzene physical markers ended at $986/mt (an increase of $22.17/mt over the
previous session). The front-month ICE Brent crude oil futures rose
to $80/barrel, reaching $84.21/b at 4:30pm Singapore time (0830 GMT). The bullish
price trend was reflected in the East China domestic benzene markets. Yuan
7,500/mt was discussed for May and June ex tank supplies. Sinopec
increased the benzene price to Yuan 7,450/mt from Yuan 7,300/mt. A company
