European ABS prices remain unchanged amid low liquidity / Upstream, styrene monomer remains firm / ABS prices rise in Asia

In the week before August 14, the European ABS market's liquidity was limited due to seasonality. A trader stated that spot monomer also rose in August due to the increase of styrene monomer. FD NWE spot price was assessed as stable for the week, at Eur1,900/mt. In the European styrene market, there was little activity in the week ending August 14. Deals were heard to be made at $1,550/mt or $1,350/mt, respectively, for August deliveries. On August 14, styrene loading for five-to-30-days ahead was $1,425/mt FBO ARA. This is down $9.25 from the previous day.
