South Asia PE prices show mixed trend amid changing discussion levels / Southeast Asia Market Stable / IOCL closes HDPE/LLDPE Swing Line

In the week ending February 5, South Asia's polyethylene market was mixed, with some grades of PE showing a slight decline and others remaining steady. HDPE film, LLDPE, and blow-injection rates all dropped on the back of lower discussions. However, LDPE film and HDPE pipe grade prices remained the same over the course of the week. The demand-supply balance in the Indian market is fluctuating, according to sources. A slight decrease in the level of discussion this week followed a previous uptrend. On February 3, an international supplier was overheard discussing HDPE and LLDPE at a lower level. On Feb. 5, however, new price indications showed only a small drop in prices.
