The Indian market has been seen to be
declining since May 17, with the domestic ex-tank discussion falling between
Rupees 25,75-26/kg, down by Rupees 0.25/kg per day. On an import parity basis,
this was $287-$290/kg. Sources said that
bulk ex-tank agreements for 500-600 mt of supplies were concluded at Rupees
25,50/kg. CFR talks were heard to be
slipping, with importers indicating $280-285/mt and a lack of interest in firm
purchases. The demand is low. "Still, suppliers want flat," said a trader for
formula discussions about sanctioned cargoes. Importer: "I have a $290/mt offer and I'm not
buying." CFR India methanol was
$293/mt, down $1/mt from the previous day. This is above a buy indication of
