India's PVC prices stable as new offer matches market expectations / Tradeable indicators unchanged / Demand is still moderate, according to sources - Nov 28, 2024

CFR India PVC was stable during the week of Nov. 27, as a major supplier may have accounted for largely unchanged fundamentals in demand and supply, along with current market expectations. Sources say the new $810/mt offer is likely to receive a positive response from the market as the supplier pitched a reasonable price despite concerns about antidumping duty, and the upcoming BIS implementation decision scheduled for December 24. India has released preliminary findings from the antidumping investigation regarding imports of polyvinyl chloride suspension resins that originated in or were exported from China, Indonesian, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and the US. The official investigating authority recommended the imposition a provisional duty on imports.
