In the week ending August 14, Asia's linear low polyethylene market continued to trend downward as demand was lukewarm. LLDPE film is down $10/mt from last week to $930/mt CFR Far East Asia, while CFR Southeast Asia also saw a $10/mt drop week-on-week at $990/mt August 14. Few new offers in Southeast Asia were heard throughout the week, and demand remained tepid. Sources said that converters in Indonesia and Vietnam were not in a hurry to buy cargos because they still had enough inventory. A trader said that there has been little good news.
