Asian LDPE prices stable amid limited spot discussion / Limited Spot Discussions in Southeast Asia / Chinese market muted because of Golden Week

The Asian market for low density polyethylene was stable during the week ending Oct. 2, despite limited spot activity. LDPE film CFR Far East Asia was stable for the week, at $1.110/mt on Oct. 2. CFR Southeast Asia also remained unchanged, at $1.150/mt. A trader stated that there were few suppliers and discussions, as well as a lack of sales. According to a trader in Vietnam, LDPE prices are no longer falling. They have stabilized at $1,150/mt, as sellers do not want to offer any further discounts.
