Prices for Polyoxymethylene CIF China increased by $40/mt between Jan. 28 and Feb. 5, compared to the offer of $1,550-1,600/mt. Participants on the market said that producers are raising prices in response to China's antidumping measure, which went into effect on January 24. This was not widely incorporated until the beginning of February, as Chinese market participants had been away from their offices for Lunar New Year holidays between Jan. 28 and Feb. 4. Taiwanese producers said that they raised their prices before the Lunar New Year, and would continue the trend in the month ahead.
