Asian MTBE prices rise as petrol firms / China market subdued by the end of the week / Cargo loaded in Dalian

On February 14, Asian MTBE FOB Singapore was up $7.65/mt from the previous day to $761.03/mt, and a cash difference of $5.05/b remained unchanged from the prior session for FOB Singapore 92 RON fuel Mean of Singapore Strip (15-40 days). The Market on Close assessment was conducted on February 14 without any bids or offers. The price of 92RON gasoline rose to $85.55/b from $84.59/b. The crack rate for 92RON gasoline to Brent crude oil also increased from $9.92/b to $10.11/b. China's market was a bit subdued but news was reported of at least one MTBE-cargo vessel loading in Dalian. According to one source, the vessel could be destined for the South American market instead of Europe. A large refinery unit was scheduled to be maintained in Taiwan in March....
