Asian PTA exports expected to be lower in June but outlook stable / PTA export volume to be lower than in May / CFR India-CFR China spread widens

A second producer said that inventories in China had also been steadily decreasing, which could have led to an increase in production rates. The second producer stated that the [PTA] inventory levels in China aren't very high. In India, the polyester operating rate was around 78% to 80%. A domestic producer has postponed the planned turnaround of a plant to the next month due to the tight supply situation. Other producers have also ensured the availability of material to help mitigate the supply disruption.
