Asian acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene prices rose $20/mt on the week as producers increased offers in response to persistently high production costs, estimated to be above $1,500/mt due to elevated feedstock prices. Trade sources reported that market discussions were quiet, as most participants were in Shanghai this week for the Chinaplas conference 2024. They also said that sellers held higher prices ahead of May Day. Market sources reported that on April 24, May-arrival selling signals were heard around $1480/mt CFR China, with the range of $1,530-1,570/mt CFR Northeast Asia being heard after trading.
